Job Description:

A successful credit and risk mitigation software company, simplifying complexity into thoughtful interfaces is looking for a data-driven experienced professional to join the company as a data scientist team leader. 

The data scientist will manage the data scientists team that will use information to craft the best fraud detection system, and achieve better coverage and accuracy.


Responsibilities:

Mentor the risk analysis team in research and feature engineering tasks.

Model fraud detection inference and prediction.

Build decision models to optimize performance and coverage.

Cooperate with other teams to enhance processes and expedite model development life-cycles, while allowing others to contribute to the process.

Develop models and visualizations to help identify fraud ring attacks.

Monitor classifier and model performance using visualizations.


Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in the industry and a PhD in a quantitative field- a must.
  • Solid understanding of statistics and applied mathematics.
  • Experienced-based familiarity with data science best-practices.
  • Able to write clean and concise code, ideally in R or Python.
  • Creative thinker who has proven ability to innovate through data exploration and application of non-trivial solutions.
  • Dedication and persistence when it comes to monitoring and improving performance after deployment.
