Job Description:

A leading e-commerce company selling custom made fashion accessories, goods and services globally is hiring a talented art director to join and lead the studio department. The director will manage the company's creative team and report directly to the VP marketing.


Responsibilities:

Supervise and inspire 8 talented, intelligence designers.

Manage and delegate responsibilities and provide directions.

Create documentation and animations to enable developers to build software that fosters a good user experience.

Translate concepts into designs while noting context and gathered insights.

Set deadlines and solve diverse design problems.

Understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning and target audience.

Take work from concept to final execution within deadlines.

Enhance and create UI solutions.

 

 


Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in creative design for web and/or mobile.
  • 1+ years of managerial experience.
  • Hands on experience with logo design, typography, color, web layout design, print production, image selection and package design.
  • Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design and wire- framing tools.
  • Strong portfolio that highlights awesome design skills.
  • Experience in mobile design - advantage.
  • Ability to create examples through wireframes and mock-ups.
  • Strong user interface and usability orientation.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines.
