Job Description:

A leading web development platform simplifying online website creation and management is hiring a data scientist. As the data scientist you will develop predictive models for big data and constantly provide analytical insights.


Responsibilities:

Design algorithmic components for new products, based on big data analysis and behavioral patterns.

Build machine learning tools and models in order to understand usage and predict future behavior.

Understand, categorize, organize and interpret data using software.

Pick the right algorithm, whether it is a simple linear regression or the newest machine learning algorithm.

Map business requirements to technical implementation.

Develop statistical modeling to deliver the business requirements.


Requirements:

  • Proficiency in statistical analysis, quantitative analysis, forecasting/predictive analysis, multivariate testing and optimization algorithms.
  • Experience writing scripts or code in Java / JavaScript / Python / R.
  • Proficiency with SQL.
  • Basic understanding of machine learning concepts.
  • Big Data experience with Hive / Pig / Hadoop - advantage.
  • Creative thinker who has proven ability to innovate through data exploration and application of non-trivial solutions.
  • Willingness to dig into large amounts of data and construct tools or models.
